Stephen Brooker
Musical Supervisor

Stephen Brooker is firmly established as one of Britain's leading music directors.

He has worked extensively in the West End and was musical director for the London productions The Woman in White, My Fair Lady, Cats, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Lautrec, the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of The Secret Garden and the National Theatre production of South Pacific. Stephen worked as musical supervisor for Cats, the Irish dance show Dancing on Dangerous Ground, the international tour of Carmen Jones, concert performances of Grease, Fame and Hair throughout Scandinavia, and Peter Pan at the Royal Festival Hall.

He completed the orchestration of a new German oratorio written for the Millennium celebrations in Germany and conducted the premiere performance with the Hamburg Symphoniker. Stephen was composer and musical supervisor for the dance production Burn the Floor. He has written and produced music for many corporate clients worldwide including Coca Cola, Walt Disney, Erikkson, Ford Motors, BMW Motors and British Airways.

Orchestral conducting credits include concerts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Mozart Players, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the London, Manchester and Scottish Concert Orchestras, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Ukraine Opera and Symphony Orchestra. Stephen has conducted the Royal Choral Society in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen.

He has recorded albums with the BBC Concert Orchestra including Disney Film Classics and Crazy for Gershwin. He conducted the studio cast recording of Hair for TER, the London cast recordings of The Secret Garden and The Woman in White, the National Theatre recording of South Pacific, Michael Ball's album This Time It's Personal, was orchestrator and conductor for Walt Disney's award-winning Animator's Palette and conductor for Cinderellabration at Disneyland, Tokyo.

Stephen is currently musical supervisor for Les Misérables, Mary Poppins and My Fair Lady (UK tour) and will also supervise the forthcoming USA tour of My Fair Lady.
