Andy Massey
Assistant Musical Director

 

Andy Massey studied at the Royal College of Music where he won the major prizes as a pianist. His concert career took him throughout the UK and Europe as a soloist with orchestras and recital player. In 1996 he joined English National Opera and a year later accepted an invitation to join the music staff at Glyndebourne where he was to stay for four years. As a player and conductor Andy's recent show credits include Beautiful and Damned, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Chicago, Bombay Dreams and Anything Goes. Other credits include The King and I, Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story and My One and Only as well as appearances as guest conductor for the D'Oyly Carte opera company.

As a player he is featured on many film and television soundtracks and was involved in Channel 4's talent finding series Musicality.
